You won't drop it...you don't have the ability. It will be your downfall here.

I thought you were taking a 'long break' from the board?

You asked a question. Are you going to answer mine?

Then I'll begin my siésta from the DMF. I'm gonna shoot for no posts till I'm watching the sunset over San Diego and have had an ice cold one @ Adelitas in TJ. :)

Sooooooo, in the spirit of this thread I went ahead and googled the phrase "take it to PM's". This is the first picture I got:

I am with Rudemouth on this one.  Wanna hear a story?

I got my Duc two years ago and joined this site two years ago.  I missed the board wars and I was honestly shocked when I heard about it.  Now?  Not so much.  Below is my "outsiders" view of what is going on here.

I (like Rudemouth) get a bit bent over racism, elitism, cronyism and a dozen other ism's.  I get most bent over hypocrisy and double standards.

The site has been here for a while and it is quite clear that there is a core group of friends that do not and have not been chastised for doing the very same things that others not in "the club" have.  I would spend some time proving it via links to various posts but I am quite honestly over it and I don't think a single thing would change.

This site is a lot like walking into a party where you do not know anyone.  Only this party has two sets of rules, one for the newcomers and one for those that threw it.  When the person throwing the party lets in people that like to take jabs at the new guys, it is time to find another party.

Without ever having a position or a side I watched the things that pissed off Rudemouth happen.  The same jackasses have been taking jabs at others not in their "club" as well.  No worries though as there are other parties.

No worries I won't let the door hit me on the way out, I have better parties to attend.

Two things I don't do.  Keyboard bullies and hypocrites.
Feel free to PM me if needed, otherwise you will find me elsewhere.

Stew- Nice! My 1st bike was also a black KZ550LTD (1982) that I got in '94, 20 yrs ago. It's 6 speed meant it could move. Next up was a '78 KZ650 (better looking, slower 5 spd) while I started dreaming of a trellis framed 2V.

Anyone that can get a 620 over 200 mph can make up their own handshake.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Meh.

I'm a newcomer too, about 2-3 years on here (I forget).  Like most grown-ups, I have strong opinions on controversial topics.  I don't express them here.  I also don't respond when others do.  I didn't come here seeking fairness or open dialogue.  I came seeking resources for my bike.   Pictures of guys trying to look cool showing off their first bike and threads informing me of new movies were merely unexpected side benefits.

I like you, Skybarney.  Rudemouthsky too.  Would be a shame to lose you guys.  There are enough good contributors departing due to life changes, sale of motorcycles, etc.  We don't need to lose more.  Just do what I do with Grampa's offbeat jokes and ignore them as a minor nuisance.  Like gnats at the beach.  ;D

Also: Any chance we can move this conversation to a new thread so this doesn't get locked?  I like the pictures thread.

My was an '83 KZ750LTD that I bought in '93 for $750.  It could go like stink!  But didn't stop for crap....  Also, flexy flyer frame sucked in the corners and it lacked ANY torque at all (which got me into looking for a torquey bike which brought me to Ducati's...)
