That's from Grand Prix. That and LeMans are still to this day the two best racing movies. (imho) The story goes that during the filming of LeMans, about halfway through the race they realized they had a chance to win, even though they had to keep coming in to reload film.

Bob Bondurant taught Garner how to drive for the movie and did most of the race footage driving himself. I believe (?) that's where he got the idea to make money teaching performance driving. He's still at it.
