Extended family and friends keep making comments like "You're selling your Ducati?!?  That bike is so beautiful!"  And then, my wife made a comment after I had finished the chain replacement about how she was going to miss this bike.  Such things are not making it any easier.  :'(

Nice CL ad.  Very descriptive, like you would post something not.  Good luck with the sale.

Beautiful pics.  Hope you can avoid the weirdos that keep calling Ryan :P  We just passed the full moon so you should probably expect a few this week then tapering off after that :)  Good news for you too Ryan!

Lol... that's probably true... so far it has managed to stay up overnight.

Thanks!

Thanks!  Those first couple pics were at the Tualatin River Wildlife Refuge off Hwy99.  Those photos were shot on Fuji Reala 100-speed film... if you like the compressed Photobucket images, you should see the original glossy prints.  ;)

Anyway, I got one e-mail this morning that simply asked if I still had it.  I e-mailed back just now.  We'll see if it goes anywhere.

Also posted it on the classified ad billboard at work... all I've gotten thus far was one e-mail telling me that it was one beautiful machine.  :)  I'm hoping the interest turns into a buyer here soon.

Oh yeah... I still gotta talk with Erica and see if she's okay with the idea of taking out a loan for half the price of Ryan's Multi once at least one of my vehicles sells.  I'm not cool with taking out a loan for the full amount, because I may get stuck with vehicles not selling.  But... if I have the cash in hand from one of them, I'm fine with taking out a loan for the remainder (to be paid off when the second vehicle sells).

Remind her she said she'd miss having a Ducati in the garage ;)

Ooh, thanks for the tip!  I'll post over there, too.

Update: posted.  They say it takes 72 hours for them to vet the ad before posting.  One thing that sucks: you can't format the text at all.  I mean, no line breaks, nor carriage returns, no paragraph breaks.  Lame-o.  I had to jerk around with a much-reduced (2800 character) and non-formattable text box.  I think I made it readable and got all the pertinent info in there.

CycleTrader ad is up

I'm not a big fan of the text formatting, but hey, at least it's another audience being reached.  Also realised I need to go post this on some other forums...

Here's hoping someone buys it soon!

Typical... I am on vacation for a week and I get three interested parties on the bike... and now they aren't responding. Poo on a stick.

Hows your sale going Dan? Got any family members with ski boats I can trade with? ha ha.

Bummer about missing the three interested parties.  If you just e-mailed them back late yesterday or today, you may just need to wait 'til tomorrow.  The folks who've messaged me about the SS only seem to do e-mail once a day.

The first guy who was really interested had to go on a business trip... haven't heard back.  I need to check the dates on the original e-mails... I would expect to hear back from him 2-3 weeks after the last contact (if he was honest about his interest).  Otherwise, I'll assume he found an ST or another SS.

Lots of messages to the effect of "that's a really nice bike, wish I had the scratch".  While it's not helping me sell it, it is nice to know people appreciate the bike.  :)

Have another interested party now.  Not sure how serious he is (initially wanted to do payments because he's trying to sell a car at the moment), but we'll see.

Wish I had a family member with a ski boat to trade!  I'd send them your way.  Actually, one of Erica's uncles has a boat (not sure what kind, I just know they were out on some river last weekend), but they like it and use it regularly.

I bought that CB550 in February and decided I haven't done anything with it at all... so I put it on the CL this morning... and crikeys 12 emails and 4 phone calls... somebody coming over at noon and if it doesn't sell another interested party at 5... guess the $600 price point is hard to beat... lol
