Hiya; new guy here from Portland, OR.

I've been riding for a couple of years now, mostly vintage cafe racer kinda stuff.  Vintage bikes are a lot of fun, but lately I've been thinking that adding something a bit more modern to the stable could be a good idea.  I've always had a "thing" for the Monsters, so I've set my sights towards something in the M750-900 range.

So that's me in a nutshell.  I know ya'll like pics, so here's a shot of my '76 CB550 that I rebuilt from the frame up last winter.

Cheers,

Eric

Welcome Eric, very nice Honda! [beer]

When you get a chance, also stop in and introduce yourself to your local board, NorthWest.

Good luck in your search for a Monster, keep us posted. [thumbsup]

Nice looking CB you have there. I've got the bug going the other way and have been sourcing CB750s for my next project. Where is that front end from? GSXR?
BTW, welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome!

Numbskull:  Good call; it's from an '04 gsxr 600 with 'busa rotors and a harley wheel.  Good luck on your project; have you been to the SOHC forums yet?  TONS of good info over there on the honda 4's: http://forums.sohc4.net/

I've visited the SOHC forums in search of information and, yes, there is a ton of stuff there. My winter project has to be shelved for now but come spring I'm back at it. Really like that front end on your bike  [thumbsup]

Success!

Six weeks of scouring the local CL listings and I finally found my Monster - 2001 Sie; gave the guy a deposit to hold it yesterday and as soon as I can get to the bank this week it'll be mine, all mine!

Already have Rizoma rearsets & Mivv GP slipons on order; soon as I decide what do for clipons, I'll have them on the way as well.  I can't wait to tear into this thing!  ;D
