Hmmm... I am running low on ammo...  ;)

we will be there tomorrow sometime.  Is there a limit on how much ammo you can buy at a gun show?

You can only buy as much as you have money.   [bang]
They absolutly will not sell you any more than that.

I used to bring a hand truck with me back when 7.62X39 was ~$70 a case...
Carrying ten cases to the car by hand sucks.
A little red wagon is a good idea too.   [thumbsup]

Holy crap!  My dad and I did the exact same thing back in the day!   [thumbsup]  I still have some left over from then...

We'd shoot that up during the week, and go back for more...
There were years I'd go through tens of thousands of dollars of ammo.

If I had it all back today, and sold it at todays prices,  I could pay the house off.    :'(

No lie, man...  I remember the STACKS of SKS crates with a "$65.00 ea" sign next to them, and the crates of ammo piled to the rafters for the same price...

Man, I need to get my butt to a range!   :'(

Ahhhh... the good old days. I remember when Michael Tinney (the guy who owned and sold Gun List to start Cheaper Than Dirt) was the importer for Norinco (before gov't intervention [bang]) and would sell you a brand new Norinco SKS and a 1200 round case of 7.63x39 for $200 at guns shows!!! What a deal. Never had a SKS but had/have several AK models Yugo and Chinese.

RichD

Now you can't get a 1200 round case of ammo OR an SKS for $200
Military gun supply does have Yugo ammo @ $239+tax for 1260 rounds
It's VERY accurate -the only drawback is it's corrosive primed.

Well the show was pretty cool.  We could have done without the "buy your ticket at this entrance and walk to the other end of the building to actually get in to the show" crap in the sweltering heat, though...

I must say I had a bit of sticker shock when I priced some ammo.  The last time I bought rounds for my .40 S&W, it was 8 or 9 bucks for a box of 50 (JHP).  The lowest price I could find today was $30.   >:(

I'm looking for a Judge by Taurus...see any?

At least they had some! This time last summer you damn near couldn't find anything!! [bang] With .380acp being more rare than Kryptonite. Sold a Glock 22 to my good friend's son. He had just graduated college and wanted to buy himself a .40S&W as pat on the back. I don't shoot a lot of .40 and he's a good kid so I cut him a sweet deal. Then the poor damn kid couldn't find any .40 anywhere in town. He looked forever before he ended up with maybe 5-6 super high priced boxes. He was pretty damned depressed. It was "Gee, I now have a G-22 but I can't afford to shoot it!!" Things are definitely better now and the prices have come down a smidgen over the last year but I have a bad feeling that right now is as good as it's ever going to be for a long while. Please, someone prove me wrong. ;D

I have to admit that I had to check out Taurus' website to know what a Judge is... but yeah, I did see at least a few of those.  There were several dealers with TONS of Taurus pistols and revolvers.  I've been wanting a Springfield Armory 1911 for a while now, and I only saw a few.  Of course, the largest crowds were in front of the pistols, so I may have missed a few...
