You guys with the Sidi boots... was the sizing dead on?? Like if I am an 8.5 just get a 42?

First, the Vertigo are a narrow fit. Unless you get the Vertigo Wide (Gore Tex)
Compared to my Thor 50/50 and the AXO Lancers (plus Nike, Adidas, ski boots a.s.o.) - they run small'ish.
I always buy Euro 47 and did that with the Sidi. They could not have been a millimeter smaller, whereas other 47 shoes/boots usually have a little room to move.
My 0.02 is to go up if you're in between sizes, maybe even go up one Eurosize.
Anyhow - look for a place with little or no hassle return/exchange policy.

I've only owned Sidi boots so I have a one sided opinion. I currently own, Strata air, which are kinda touring/ standard everyday walking boots, and Vertigo corsa, which are the previous model racing boots.
I had a hard time trying to find a boot that does everything well, so I bought one of each extreme. Like most have said, the Sidi boots do run a bit narrow, which is great for me because I have a narrow foot.
I also have been looking a getting the new Dainese pro torque "in" boots, They look cool and would replace my Sidi strata air boots.

yup

I wear a 10 and wear a SIDI 44...

but like Lars says...

Two Boots that I like a lot are the Alpinestars S-MX Plus and the TCX Competione RS.

The TCXs have awesome protection for your Ankles w, large side braces and also big metal Sliders which won't allow the Toe of the Boot to bend back.

They zip 3/4s of the way up and then have 2 Velcro pieces that come across to fasten the Boot and 1 Velcro piece that comes down over from the top of the Boot to lock the whole connection together.

They are not as narrow as Sidis.

The Alpinestars have an inner Boot sleeve that pulls tight w, a Kevlar cord to tighten up your foot inside the Boot .

They zip 3/4s of the way up and then there is a ratcheting rubber strap that feeds through a ratchet buckle at the rear side to tighten the top of the boot as tight as you want it.

A hard Polymer / Plastic like substance makes up the 2 sliders and the fairly large round Ankle protector that narrows and runs up the entire outside of the Boot and also same thing on the inner side of the Boot.

A large amount of the Polymer/ Plastic covers the front top portion of the Boot and Heel area.

There are intake and exhaust vents .

Comes in regular and perforated.

Sidis for life.

I have a pair of vertigo corsas, at like $350 its the most expensive peice of gear i own and
the best money ive spent on gear so far. makes you hate to ride without them

that being said i would go with the regular vertigos. easier to get in and out of, almost as
much protection *(little bit more ankle in the corsas)

What about the Sidi Blade Boots?

Or the Sidi Streetburner Boots?

I'm in the market for some motorcycle boots myself and I definitely like the low cut style myself.  I've just been using my military issue combat boots so far.

I wore the streetburners for a yr before going to the vertigo corsa. They're essentially the same boot, except the streetburners are low cut. Excellent fit, finish, comfort, and protection. What's your size? I'll check my streetburners tomorrow when I head up to nola; I don't wear 'em anymore.

I have the same pair and I love them as well, although they are my first pair of boots so I have nothing to compare against. As comfortable as they are, I would stick with Sidi the next time I'm in the market for a new pair.

I'm a 9 1/2 in USA men's, so a 43 or 44 according to Sidi's sizing chart.

The new Sidi Vertigo's are here!  I have yet to ride in them... yes a lil narrow for my right foot only for some reason... I am hoping it somehow someway stretches a lil? LoL!  Definitely a quality feeling boot.

They are not going to stretch at all. Can you exchange them for a larger size?

Hay I like my Puma boots. They are nice and fit really well, and my pant leg fits over them too. Here is the link where I bought them in case u want to cheek them out. http://www.store.commoto.com/product_info.php?products_id=56200

Most of the time I wear a thin liner sock which helps w, the more narrow fitting boots like my Sidi Vertigo Corsas or my BMW racing Boots.
