... and am looking for feedback about anything in the area in terms of riding and in general.  Any tips?

You'd be about 50 miles from next year's DIMBY!

30 miles from NHMS, where they have a number of track days.

A fair number of DMFers in the area.  I'm sure some will be chiming in on this thread about the area.

It's beautiful in the surrounding area, that's for sure.  [thumbsup]

excellent riding all around Manchester. I lived in Goffstown (just west of Manchester) until last spring, and the riding right out my back door was awesome.

i did not care for Manchester all that much, but thats just a personal opinion.

oh, and you will be about an hour from the best Ducati wrench in the area....well worth the drive time.

It's cold in the winter.

We're anti-social and frown on outsiders coming and wanting change.

Alcohol is your friend.

Riding is awesome but the season is short...

because it's really freaking cold in the winter. ;D

If Manchester is anything like Keene, NH................they don't take kindly to outsiders.

And no, it just isn't me that experienced this. About 30 people from my employer have visited Keene and we all got the same vibe.

It's not outsiders-it's anyone. I never spoke to my neighbors in New England.

My wife grew up in Connecticut until she was 18.

I agree.

It's a different world.

She then lived in florida until she moved here.

She has still had an adjustment periiod.

and do you speak to your neighbors in CA?
where i grew up in New England, being neighborly and helping each other out was a natural part of life. the same was true in Colorado, and even in Oregon. in fact, it was true where i lived in NH as well.

You didn't live there long enough.
