I remember everything about that day like it was yesterday.

Sorry for all those who had friends, relatives, family members, etc who perished that day; my wife lost 2 good friends she grew up with.

Her cousin worked in WTC Tower 2 and unexpectedly got called to a business meeting in Boston that morning.

Everyone he worked with perished that morning.

I want to personally thank Rat900 for what he did that day and the following days. I won't elaborate and he probably won't either, but he had to do some hard things in the days following. I am sure others on this board have similiar stories, and thank you for that as well. The best I could do was donate to charity groups to help victims families.

And most most importantly...........Thank you to our Armed Forces who have served andperished defending our freedom against the radical anti-american movement we are currently facing. Keep up the good work.

I'm a Sept 12th kind of guy..... I like it when people respect each other.
Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

The events of that day and little things, like when I got home the temporary Deutsche Bank ID from having done work there a few months prior just happening to be sitting where I put my wallet and keys, are permanently etched in my memory.
Also, I still have my parking pass on the window of my truck from parking in the basement of the World Trade Center also a few months prior to Sept. 11th.
Those little things bring home just how easily I could have been there that day as well.

That was a sad, sad day for so many and I hope not to see something of that scale again any time soon.

Unfortunately that is far too accurate a statement for far too many people

our way of life changed forever 9 years ago
This is an insult to the Pez community

Too bad more people don't remember that. ^^^

You would have to search pretty hard to find someone who didn't loose someone dear on 9/11.  The damage was so much worse than the numbers.

If I could have enlisted the next day I would have, instead I had to wait three more years to graduate high school and then join up.  That was six years ago, now I'm heading to Afghanistan for the first time in a few months to give those bastards a piece of my mind...  anything you guys want me pass along?

This is a thread about remembrance...

not vengeance.

Thanks for your service, but we aren't going there.

My brother who lives in NJ and works in NY was on a United Newark flight that left 60 minutes before the United Newark Flight 93 that crashed in PA.  It was very scary and difficult trying to find his where abouts since all air traffic was diverted and grounded.
