Welcome to the forum and I'm glad you decided to be more than a listener or reader [thumbsup]
Riding motorcycles in the US can get expensive as well once you add insurance and service cost.
Hope to learn more about your country and love to see the global interaction  ;)

thanks..

is it?

why do i see most of you parting out their bikes when got caught in an accident.. ;D
while most of us dying to restore them back...

Malaysians who owns bigbikes tends to get parts from Singapore either new or used...
and some of them buy a complete unit declared as scrap in Singapore..
maybe that's an advantage for us..

and ducati always been a dream for me....way long ago;D [thumbsup]
love the sound..drool..

another reason why i was thinking i'd rather be a silent reader is,i'm suck in english...
each post took about half an hour..
struggling with the vocab and the grammar..

Your English is just fine and posting on this forum can only improve your skills.
Most people think they can make more money by selling the parts instead of selling a motorcycle with a salvage title.
I faced the option of parting out my S4RS after I wrecked but decided to buy it back from the insurance company for
for a fraction of the cost. It doesn't take much damage for the insurance company to total a motorcycle. My motorcycle rides like new
after very little restoration cost.
I waited until I was 55 years old until I got my first Ducati.....keep working at your dream.   [thumbsup]

Welcome to the DMF! Your English is great. [thumbsup]

I know we have a few other members from Malaysia here.  I'm sure bigger bikes there can get very expensive!

I only got to spend a few hours in Malaysia, I rode a bicycle across the border from Singapore (and only got slightly in trouble at the crossing [evil] ;D)

Good luck with the shopping, do you have a project in the works? :)

projects?nothing much...maybe upgrading my brake system, larger calliper, larger pumps, the brand as well.....maybe installing a damper to my stock-no-damper bike...and it won't be close to what you guys already posted in here..they are way too costy and a bit of hi tech and skills...i'm always impressed of what you guys can do, borderless..

Yup, just a few hours!  I was in Singapore for a business trip, had one free day.  I looked into renting a moto, but it is very difficult for foreigners in Singapore, apparently because of insurance reasons.   So I rented a road bike, rode across the island and across the border, got in trouble for trying to cross with the pedestrians.  Bicycles are supposed to with the motorcycles as it turns out, but there were no signs.  I eventually got it straightened out and made it across, then all the way back later that day.

I'm putting an earphone into my ear that connects to a radar detector....just in case we "accidentally"  [evil]  exceed the speed limit and
one of the local  [leo] wants to write us an expensive speeding ticket.
