very little compares to the Monster.  I have both a cruiser for bar hopin (NOT) and a Monster each for a specific use.

good for you. my next bike will be a cruiser.

You're right. In fact ducati should make a commercial that is just a solid minute of this video and clips of  the chp flipping their bmws through tight u turns and weaving through cones.

The tag line can  read:

If you can ride this well you should buy the new ducati cruiser.
HATERS GONNA HATE.

Ducati is too cheap to make a commercial.

Yeah, really. I make the beast with two backsing hate it.

The SF might be bad ass, but I can't and will not ever get wrapped around a naked bike with all that plumbing hanging out.  :(

so you make the beast with two backsing hate the S4 and their ilk?

I thought that was a Xerox commercial, not a Ducati commercial?

You betcha.  ;)

ok I feel better about your hate now.

oh, you know what I just noticed about both those commercials is the bikes they use for the image of Ducati.
Bikes with fairings, not the Monster, not the Diavel, not the Hyper... the MTS and SBK
interesting.
So even  Ducati admits the faired bike is their public image.

This is pretty good too

Ducati case study by Xerox

Are these Xerox (Xerox not Ducati) commercials being shown in the US?

Oh but of course. The Monster is a Hooligan bike.  :D

I understand that a picture of  Nora(my GF) and I were highlighted at the dealer meeting with "Our customers are maturing" or something like that. Hmm, I thought I had already matured.  I'm looking at this bike and I do not see it meeting my needs, 2up It's usually the ST3, but occasionally on one of the Monsters, doesn't look like this new bike even pretends to be a 2up bike, on 1up back road trips it's one of the Monsters, Tail bag, Sargent, Marsee Tank Bag. I'm for sure looking at the new M1100S which has some nice features to replace the S2R1000 and keep the M900 for local trips. As far as crusiers go I have several and have not ridden a big tire bike yet that handles and yes both of my Vicory's do fine on a back country road. So I'm left wondering who will be attracted to this bike and it's got some styling stuff on it that has me scratching my head, those scoops and exhaust are awful. I'm also wandering with the sales success of the Streetfighter - not, and the Sprot Classics, now discontinued, what are they thinking with this model. An upgraded ST or a new supersport would have made more sense to me. Diavel, not for me. - Gene

It kinda looks like someone dressed up their VMax as a Monster for Halloween.
