Hello everyone.

My name is George, long time lurker, first time poster. I don't get a lot of time to ride my ducati due to my job and travel, but this board gives me my fix when I need it. Unfortunately being in the oil industry (not a "roughneck" but an inspector and testing engineer of safeguards. Etc. As all of you know of the BP Spill, my job has become a bit busier since), I have started traveling more frequently. So I decided to join and start making some friends in the areas, countries, and cities I will be working in.

This board is a great way to find friends when you are traveling for work, I've gotten to meet a bunch of great people that way.

What's with oil guys named George...

Some history for you. There was a member of the previous incarnation of this board named George who was a lubrication engineer and contributed a lot of value and insights. If you ever catch a reference to 'The Oil Thread' that was Georges ongoing discussion thread.

Unfortunately, he passed a way - but all the knowledge he shared is still around.

So 'new' George the oil guy - welcome.
