Hello from Chicago

Hi all! Name is Tommy. I've been riding and racing since 1993 and this is my first experience owning (and loving) a Ducati... a 2005 Monster S2R8 in yellow/black attire with 6500 miles on her.

When I first test rode her, I new right away that I was in love with the power band (still getting use to the clutch and high RPMs), but instantaneously hated the suspension. The suspension is great for our potholed highways, but not for my riding style, nor my 160lb build. Well, I hope to change all that now that we're heading into hibernation season. I'm going to rider her as much as I can, and by spring, she'll be ready to shred some curves.

So please excuse me in advance for any rookie questions. But before I post, I'll make sure I've done extensive searching and digging as to not waste people's time.

Glad to be part of this bunch. Makes me wish I raced Ducati's back in the day before I had children.   But I'm just glad to have such a beautiful ride.

Here's a pic of my S2R the min I first parked her in my garage. I'll post another one soon with fender chop, new LED brake light, and I dyed my belt covers black.
