Great humor in the original Fletch.

Not sure I care to see a remake of that one.

as long as they incorporate the faltermeyer score, i'll be ok...

in their defense, the film (in pre-production?) is supposed to be a prequel based on one of the 11 fletch novels. there's some good material to work with.

Well, if thats the case, then maybe. I just hate to see a prequel similar to Dumb and Dumberer.

I agree, and really some things should just be left alone. Fletch was great in the 80s - it would be nearly impossible to capture the magic of that style of humor by today's standards.

...except there are 11 novels that preceded the movies.

it's really hard to predict how it will turn out since everybody that was previously attached to the project (kevin smith, jason lee, etc) are off doing other things.

personally, i think the smith/lee pairing, while being "more true to the novel" would've been interesting.

On the subject of Captain America I quote wwtdd:

"Only a country as bad ass as America could have a superhero like this. What would the French one be, some pedophile in a smock holding a baguette? You can suck it, France!"

And, yes, a remake of Fletch (the original) would be wrong. Speaking of which, I have that coming up on the Netflix list....

I thought that of all the trailers, that Captain America was the only one that really looked like it could be good.

Don't know where else to post this question so I will try it here in Movie News. I am drawing a blank on the name of a sci-fi/vampire flick that came out last year. I believe the premise was pretty much everyone on Earth is now a vampire and the non-vampire humans were enslaved and harvested for their blood. Problem is they are running out for some reason and there is some big throw down between the non-enslaved humans running around and the bad guy vampires. Shit apparently hits the fan and I believe cross bows were invloved. Can't recall any of the actors. Sound familiar? Help with the name would be appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time! [thumbsup]

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

I know what you're talking about (reminded me of 28 Days Later), but can't recall the name....
