Brief aside:

I've never been the first to hop on the bandwagon with TV series when they first start, but thanks to Netflix I've just started watching season 1 of 24. Anyone here love it? I was hooked after watching the first hour. Jack Bower is a bad mofo!! I don't know why I never was interested in it before but I love how each episode is done as an hour of a day - very novel approach.

season one is greatness...

it sounds kinda make the beast with two backsed up, but i gained a lot of respect for the show given it premiered less than two months after 9/11 and they blow up a commercial airliner full of civilians in the first episode. it was apparent that the producers weren't going to pull their punches and sissify the show.

season two is ok, but the remaining seasons started to go downhill.

yep - season one was fantastic and such a new concept. It was murder to have to wait a week back when it was on the air.

Season two was ok like Derby said, and in season 3 it was heading for jump-the-shark land for me

*snip* It was murder to have to wait a week back when it was on the air.

Fortunately that's the beauty of streaming!! It would drive me nutz to have to wait from week to week! I've lost hours of sleep thanks to Netflix!! Did I see correctly that it ran from 2001-2010? I'd imagine that after 3 or 4 years of it being handled the same way that it might stagnate a little. I'm up to episode 13 now of season 1.

Sounds right.

Like I said - it got a little hack for me in season 2, just a little and towards . But in season 3 it's where it jumped the shark for me. Obviously ymmv since it ran for a lot longer with out my views.

So any films coming up? Only thing on my personal radar is Sucker Punch... and I'm going to be upset if it's weak sauce.

Conan the Barbarian:

In news related:

A-Team 2: Bradley Cooper has confirmed what we all assumed; due to poor taking’s at the box office “The A-Team” won’t spawn a sequel.

Ghostbuster 3: Ivan Reitman confirmed that there is a script which has been read by everyone except Bill Murry.

Baywatch: Ivan Reitman is working on a script, but wants to make it a comedy.

We  got RED in the mail (Netflix) and I watched it last night. It was amusing, but I think the highlight for me was seeing Ernest Borgnine still acting. That man is absolutely amazing - he was born in Jan 1917 which means that as of this year he's 94 years young and still acting/working! His IMDB list shows that he's already completed work on 3 projects this year!!

WOW! Yeah, that was a treat. I hadn't seen him in a long time but I remember him from waaaaaaay back in the day!

Thank God. I wish they would not have redone Clash of the Titans.

I saw him interviewed less than a year ago on Turner Classic Movies.  What a great guy, full of life and full of love of live.  I bet he's a great guy to hang with and have a beer or two.

Watched " red riding hood", should have netflixed it.
Watched " battle LA" it seamed to me to be just another war movie slightly better then skyline.
And watched "beastly" with the GF... Weak, would be the single word to discribe it. Sucker punch is next on my list.
it is so much easier to get forgiveness then it will ever be to get permission.
