Any opinions on these boots?

Need a pair of boots. Looking to spend $250 or less, preferably much less. These will be for around town and occasional rides through the local twisties. I've got my eye on these 4:

Puma Desmo
TCX SS Sport
Sidi Cobra
AXO Primato II

I'm really leaning towards the Pumas, but I wonder how well they will do in a crash. All my shoes are 10.5, some are regular width, some are EE so I'm afraid I might have trouble fitting into the Sidi's. TCX and AXO's are priced right, but a little too "Power Ranger" for me. I generally ride in jeans w/ armor underneath.

Any FHE with any of these boots? Have another good recommendation? I'm all ears.

If you have a wide foot you are going to be squeezed in the Sidis and Puma Desmos.

I'm not sure about the TCXs since I ordered mine a 1/2 size larger than I measure..... they are plenty wide and long for a foot that fits perfectly in the narrow Sidi and Puma Desmo.

I'd say that Apinestars runs more on the narrow side as well.

I really like the TCXs for their unique protection and  ventalation features , Sidis are good w, good protection and ventilation.

The TCX Competione RS seem to me to offer the best crash protection.

The Puma Desmos look nice but don't offer much in the way of protection.

No experience w, AXO.

I generally wear a thin liner sock for best feel since I'm mostly riding Super bikes too.

You may have to buy a 1/2 to a full size larger in a narrow brand to get it to fit your wider foot.

I got to try on some Sidi's this weekend. The 11/45 was a perfect fit. Ordered a set of B2's Saturday, only to find out today that they are discontinued. The Sidi Cobra I mentioned in my first post isn't available until after Christmas. All the others are too pricey.

I found a hell of a deal on the TCX Competizione RS in a 10/44. No way to try them on first though, and it's a closeout, so no refunds. I'm real tempted to order them, as I can wear a 10 in some shoes, but I hate to be stuck with 'em if they don't fit.

Any thoughts on Sidi fit vs TCX fit?
