I think it lacked the previous seasons' desperation. Remember that the 3 previous seasons they were running from the get go. This time they have been staying put for a little while.

Talking Dead said ep 2 and 3 get very physically and emotionally destructive.

Based on the comics, I'm wondering if Beth is going to get the axe.

They also said they are bring on the characters of Abraham, Rosita and "the dr" from the comics as well.  Abe kicked a ton of ass.  Should be good.

I liked it ...how Rick was farming ...and taking no gun when he goes outside the fence

Showing life gets back to "Normal" even in the Zombie Apocalypse

The best part for me was when Rick found that crazy lady in the woods ..the way she looked ..her desperation ..her suicide ...then Rick not killing her ..just leaving her

Also gotta say the matter of fact way of killing walkers at the fence line ...crazy

Yes, give it time.   They've setup enough dominoes,  we'll see them fall. Lots of new characters,  the dead kid in the prison,  the bleeding eyes disease, the bleeding eyes walkers,  the weak prison fence,  there's plenty to come just from this list.

Wonder why they took this long to take out the walkers by the fence.   before they showed them doing so, I was complaining to the wife, they should just stand there taking them out...
