Leather suit alterations

I picked up an almost new ( I mean barely used , never seen a bug or track ) leather spidi suit.  The real Italian deal.

The jacket fits perfect but the pants are a bit big.  If I don't zip up, the pant will basically fall off.

Is alteration a consideration without compromising the integrity of the suit?  Has anyone ever had alteration done on their leather riding suit?  Will the zip I guess have to change ?   Anyone know of a reputable place ?

Thanks

Seems to have worked (so far) with my A-Stars suit.   Z-custom took a big
Pinch out of each side from mid-chest to knees.  They opened the main side
Seams to take the material out.  They were able to preserve the pattern pretty
Well (it's a monza 3-color suit with lots of stripes).  They do crash repair
Routinely, and folks who have re-crashed their repairs report that the repairs
Are strong and durable.  Z-custom makes custom suits, so I'm comfortable
With their competence.  They're nice folks and deserve your business.

Barnacle Bill racing leathers.

He did my Vanson and I was very pleased. He returns phone calls and goes into detail on what you want. Very nice guy and superb work. A lot of track/race guys use him for repairs.

Now top quality leather work is not cheap and you'll be paying shipping. But I think he's worth it.

Thanks.  I have dropped them a line to find out more details and cost etc.
