Hi All.

As we all  know the Victoria police has somewhat changed rolls in the last few years.
So to match their new roll, Department of Road Revinue Collections (or Dorcc's) I thought it fitting that a new logo and moto be created.
Take note of the twin dollar symbols, reflecting the use of cladenstien tactics as used by the German SS.

Cheers.

I couldn't believe the number of unmarked vans parked on the side of the road in Victoria when I rode down for PI  MotoGP recently.

Add to that the unmarked cars booking people, including (of all things) a Subaru Forester between Cann River and Bairnsdale.

Add to that all the unmarked fixed speed cameras.

Throw a little dash of "2km over and you're booked" to that mix.

On top of all the above, realise that last year, Victorian road toll actually went UP (and the rest of Aus went down).

There's no question that they've moved WELL beyond a safety campaign down there.  So, two thumbs up for the new logo.  [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

Hey Spotcom,

What day was that?  I too rode down to PI for MotoGP - admittedly through the cold backwoods of Vic from SA.  The only time I saw a Vic camera car was on the way back to SA just after Ballarat.

As soon as we crossed in to SA it was on for young and old!  Highway patrol cars, unmarked cars, and two bikes, one marked one unmarked.  They were booking people (some on the irate side) left, right, and centre.  The highway patrol car pointed to his roof mounted radar to give us a warning to slow down!  We were in a pack of 4 travelling just over 110km/hr speed limit.

I agree here in SA police are revenue raisers, and the road toll has gone up despite alleged tactics - to reduce the road toll is simple - driver education!!

I had been warned to look for vans or cars parked on the side of the road in Vic. I saw about 3 of these just on the Monday, riding from PI towards Cann River.

The thing that worried me was the ones I didn't see!  [leo]

The Forester was an odd one. I'd come up on a bunch of bikes - mainly adventure style Beemers & whatnot, who were riding reasonably quickly through the twisties before Cann River. I sat on them for a while, then thought I'd whip around them and enjoy the road (I was on the 848)...

Not long after that, two Jappers came belting past on a straight section. I hung onto them through the next twisty bit, but at the next straight, they were off! I let them go.  Just around the next bend, I saw a Forester coming towards me. He did a U-turn a couple of hundred metres in front of me, then took off like a bat out of hell.  I guessed straight away what he was up to.

Sure enough, about 10 minutes later (yes, that long), I came across him on the side of the road. He'd caught up to, and pulled over both Jappers.  I trundled on by, looking as though butter wouldn't melt in my mouth...  8)

Aaahhhhh the joys of Police States.

Here on Marinduque in the Philippines there are:
~ No Highway Patrol
~ No Speed cameras
~ No Radar of any kind
~ No Double Demerits

Admittedly riding fast here is about 70km/hr (average is 40-60km/hr).

And while dodging the Buffalos, cows, pigs, goats, dogs, cats, chickens, old people, young people, drunks, Jeepneys, Trikes, Bikes and the odd truck.

And a 175cc is a big bike.

Love cruising on my Thunder Monster (Suzuki 125cc).

Hmmm, I wonder if there is a different "Oath" sworn by the TMU plods, as compared to the "community" cops??  [roll]
