I bought this bike 2 years ago.
The Plan:
It's intention was for my wife to learn on, then once she's dropped it a few times fix it up so it looks nice and shiny for her.  8)

What really happened:
She dropped it once at full stop and she gave up on riding.  :P

The outcome:
I kept the bike and fixed it up to keep for myself.  ;D
It's been a slow build and it still has a few things that need to be worked on....but they're not major. I have previously posted with pics of her in an incomplete stage.

Upgrades, changes made:
S2R 1K front forks
Paul Smart 2 pot calipers
Paul Smart Wheels
Dart Fly Screen
848 Clutch and Brake master cylinders
Rizoma grips
ASV Brake and Clutch shorty levers
CRG Lane Splitter RH mirror
SSR preload adjusters
Cycle Cat Top Triple
Cycle Cat clipons
Acewell tach/speedo
SpeedyMoto belt covers
MonsterParts oil cap temp gauge
STM crank case breather
CNC Racing keyless gas cap
Corbin Seat
SS bolt kit
K&N pod filters
Gel maintenance free battery
Nology Spark plug wires
Factory Pro jet carb kit
Frame and various parts powdercoated

Things I still need/want
A better rear shock
Rizoma fluid reservoirs
Clean up the wiring
Rizoma rearsets with passenger pegs
Reverse Megaphone exhaust, like that available for the SC line motos
Work out the blinker electrical gremlins
Rear brake lever
Gaurdian bell
A tank theme, need some ideas...

Here's what she looked like when I first got her.

Sometime last summer:

Here she is now:

i just bought a monster for my wife for pretty much the same reason: she can learn on it, or backup plan: i have a second monster to tinker with differently than the first.

Thanks. Well the speedo is still around, without housing or idiot lights. Those got hacked for the new speedo.

Yeah, they're great little bikes to tinker with.  [thumbsup]

My first Monster is an '02 S4, which I converted to a SSS Monster. I love that bike, it rides like a bull.
But this little 750 feels like magic. I thought I knew how fun a Monster was, but not like I do know. It's a great little bike.  [beer]

I love your work. Your bike looks awesome.

Did the Sport Classic exhaust not work out?  They look perfect in this picture. What about the forks in this picture?  Did these not work with the Paul Smart wheels or did you not use them for another reason?

Woooeeee.  Bike looks great!

By any chance do you still have the old bar risers?  I just bought my wife Bacon Junkie's old bike, and I need to de clip-on it. Trying to track down risers and bars without having to buy new. If you happen to and are willing to sell them, drop me a message.

Otherwise though, bike looks great.  Love those wheels.

love it. I've been looking for pictures of a monster that has some of these features as a reference, and I like.  [thumbsup]

It actually fit surprisingly well. It's too heavy though. They look good from this angle but the cans made the rear look way to heavy from other angles.

Originally went with GSXR forks, but the radial calipers are too wide, even for a single disc setup without shaving the caliper. Didnt feel comfortable doing that so opted for 2 pot setup with S2R1K forks.

I'll look but many parts have come up missing in the past 2 years.
Thanks.

what battery did you end up using? Also how do you like the Dart screen?

Mojo S2R

Very nicely done.  I would love to get hold of an old ratty 620 or 750 and fix it up much like you did.  Love those wheels.   [thumbsup]

For a tank idea.  How about - paint the tank black to match the engine and put "Ducati" in one of the old style Ducati fonts on the tank in gold to match the rest of the bike?
