Carbon Fibre bits and bobs

After seeing Brians carbon fibre bits on his bike yesterday..... i couldnt help myself...... this is what i got today......

now then, you need to understand something, carbon fibre does NOT equal "bits & bobs", nor does it equal "bling", carbon fibre is a serious performance part (ANY! part) that not only improves speed, handling, economy, shortens braking distances and improves power output, but also improves your chances of impressing the ladies by at least 75%!

the cush drive rubbers sit in your std rear sprocket, they can tear and the outer can also work it's way back into the swingarm, damaging the adjuster and the swingarm itself, expensive! look behind your sprocket when you wash it to check and if you see any alloy filings accumulate on your wheel or swingarm it will most likely be too late. you can replace your std sprocket when it's worn out with a quick change carrier from afam or stm which makes sprocket changes a lot easier and ensures the cush drives don't back out as they have a shoulder which stops it.

Oh yes,......and i may just have a pair of carbon heal guards and sprocket cover floating around here somewhere when and if round two starts.

I got them from a guy called RaceCon, he had sold some stuff on ebay a while ago and it was garbage, i heard the stuff had improved a bit so before i commited i wanted to see them in the Flesh...... i drove out to his place in Kenthurst, had a look.... all looked good, so got them.

I dont think rnd 2 can start until i learn how to keep my bike as spotless and squeeky clean as yours (given, mine was filthy becaue i got stuck in the rain, also after the arms when i got back to it, a bird hat shat on it!) Just waiting till the PCIII and tune gets done before i give it a serious going over...... but i know its never going to get as clean as yours

I hope it doesn't go yellow in the next year like I have heard about his stuff.

There are only a few people I'd get CF from and he's not one of them.

I got a few things from him a while ago but it was garbage (except for one bit), i thought id make the trip out to him to look at it before i got it, quality has definetly improved..... as you say, just hope it doesnt go yellowish in a year or so........ though ill most probably get tired of it then and take it off
