Well the tank is off and going to the painter tomorrow.   I am expecting the chain on wed.  so thursday it looks like I will be doing an eastside invasion.  Stop by the powder coater and then the warehome to drop everything off.  Anybody wanna do an early lunch around that side of Dallas??  I can be over on the eastside aroung 11:00 so we could do lunch at 11:30-12:00.  But I have to be back in arlington at 3:30 for work.  All next week I am on second shift.

Thursday lunch sounds like a plan.  If you're over at the warehome, maybe Margeaux's?  Good Cajun cookin'

I've got some Eastern Cycle bar risers for my soon to be delivered stock triple and bars.  The rise will be 1 1/2." 

I'm just wondering if the stock cables will be long enough to reach the new bar height... Eastern Cycles claims so but I guess I'll just have to wait and see.  Any cable "shortage" could be even be more pronounced at 1 3/4."

I'd be curious to know if anyone else has had experience with stock cables being too short for bar risers.

There should be enough cable slack for the Speedymoto 1.75" height increase, it may take a bit of fiddling but they say it's there. If Speedymoto says it's Christmas, hang up your stockings... at least that's true in my dealings with them. That's a lot of handlebar height increase, that kind of increase has got to make a huge difference in wrist/hand pressure. I have changed bars on several of my bikes to Heli Bars due to the whole broken neck/doesn't bend any more thing and those slight changes have resulted in huge comfort benefits for me. There is no way that your hand/wrist problems (as bad as they are to you) can be as bad as my broken neck/destroyed back... so if I can find relief I will make it a personal mission to find a way so you too can find comfort riding your Ducati. Hey, I have some of the world's most uncomfortable sport bikes so if I can do it so can you. We will find a way! Monsters are not that uncomfortable... if you think they are I'll let you ride my 916 or 996! That will set you straight for sure!

I'll take a Superbike any day.  I can put 800 miles a day on one and be fine (tired, yes, but...)

A SS is as far towards sitting up as I an tolerate.

It must have been that fourth broken vertebrae that gave me all the trouble. Jezz, if I had only broken three I'm sure I'd be fine! I can't put 400 miles in a car! Maybe that's why I couldn't look up at tonight's ball game to see the foul ball that came straight over the fence and landed about  a foot from me. That's really what I need... a foul ball in the head or neck area. Mmmm, how fun. It's one week shy of my one year broken neck anniversary and my life sucks just as bad as it did a year ago. I guess the fact that at least I can ride again is a plus but the rest sucks. Note to all other riders: don't hit turkeys. Makes good sense doesn't it?
