Having trouble finding a busa in the ft worth area. No one has them in stock  :P

That's because everyone that wants one has bought one! My buddies at Action Kawasaki/Suzuki told me people would come in and want to see "that Hayabusa killer". They'd stare at the ZX-14 for awhile maybe sit on it and then walk out the door with a new Busa. I didn't realize the first couple of years they were really weak in the low and mid range power. Kicked ass on top but a little fluffy below that, the Busa would kick it's butt down there. Don't remember the bike mags ever saying that though. But apparently they corrected that ECU mapping issue on the 2008s and now the ZX and Busa run neck and neck.

I think it would make a killer warp speed sport tourer just like my Busa. [thumbsup] Tank bag, duffle, Zero Gravity Double Bubble screen, maybe some Heli-bars (if you're old and crusty like me ;D) and voila! Kick ass 186mph sport tourer. Their Concours version does nothing for me. WAY too heavy!! I'd stick to the chain drive standard ZX any day. Zach, if you ever want to take the Busa for a spin just let me know. Don't know many shops that would let you test ride a Busa or ZX14. :P

I may take you up on that. I really would like a sport touring behemoth. The fuel range alone on the 1098 was distressing, not to mention the slightly less than comfortable riding position.

Ok, at this point is where I have to jump back in...Zach, I went through all those same thoughts in choosing my  ST4s. I chose if for two things: 1-A real-life F*ing SBK in the 996 motor with suspension to boot in the Ohlins rear and TiN up front. Fearless in the corners. 2-Two up moto touring at it's best with the panniers and a top box. It also makes the little lady feel safe with the top box. That alone makes a good argument. The Kawahonyamasukis (in my humble  [laugh] opinion) is that the Euro's have got it all over the far easterners. That said they do have a place in the market no doubt. All bikes are good. That is why ultimately it's a personal choice of what you like. Can't imagine only one or two styles of shoes for the whole world to wear.

I take it that something happened to the 1098s? It looked great at the Bike Wash.

Now, on second thought, if you don't really want that old and decrepit slowass bullfart of a 1098s and you're going to pitch it to curb with Thursday's trash give me a call first.

The 1098 is sick, We do not know how sick yet. My dash lit up like a christmas tree, grinding noise, and something leaking from the top of the engine. The sport touring bike would not be a replacement, just an addition to the stable.

Heard that about additions. I'm wanting an s R behind another bike's numbers too sometime soon. As you well know it's a habit worse than drugs.

Yes. I apparently have that same addiction too. You did say addiction didn't you? And you know what? Of all the bad press that addictions get these days, I would say that the bike addiction thing is really not in the same class and should not be thought of as a negative thing. [thumbsup] Personally I think of it as a positive thing. Of all the screwed up things I do this is by far the least harmful and the most satisfying!! Well, that is as long as you exclude the whole wild animal attack factor. [laugh]

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

No time to get the bike set up in Burnt Orange   >:(

Since I worked really late tonight, I'll probably slide into work an hour late and grab some UT swag for the bike

That video is great!  It really shows that if you love to do something, there's nothing that can stand in your way.

Oh yeah, I got a new toy this week.  I haven't had time to mess with it too much, except commuting with it on the bike
This is a real rough edit and soundtrack.  The sounds is less than desirable, but the video quality is decent.  This vid is off the left fork

I got the Oregon Scientific ATK2k
This is the first video I captured.  I hope to tweak it a bit better on Sunday and have it good to go for trackday [thumbsup]
