In June I'll be riding with Bikers Against Diabetes to raise money for the American Diabetes Association.  i'm real close to my goal and was hoping some people here can help me meet and then exceed my goal.

If you can make a $5 tax deductible donation to the ADA by following the link below, I would really appreciate it:

thank you for your support.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

First and foremost, thank you to everyone for your generous donations.

Secondly, thank you immensely Andy for your efforts to aid in helping find a cure.

I'd kick in a donation myself, but my donations, volunteer hours, and fund-raising efforts are all geared toward a very specific segment of the ADA.

Are you a diabetic Andy?  Just curious.

I'm not, but there is a definite lack of sportbike oriented charity rides around here.  When I decided I wanted to give back I looked around and liked the idea of Rip's BAD Ride, so I signed up last year and rode with all the pirates.

One of these things is not like the other... one of these things is not the same...

With the help of some very generous individuals my goal has been knocked on its ass.  If anyone else would like to contribute, the ADA would greatly appreciate it.

really it's the least I can do.  I tried to take a different appraoch this year because I know times are tough for more people, I thought if I could get 100 people to donate $5, I could kick some ass.  But most people weren't interested.  So I'm glad that I had a few very generous folks who were kind enough to donate pretty large amounts.

I'm still hoping for more.  need to hit up some of the people from work.

Minor suggestion.

Raise your goal on the fundraising website.

I've found that people are more likely to donate if you've not yet hit your goal.

I'm still hoping to get a handful or two more small donations.

Can you make a tax deductible $5 donation?
