Hi Guys,

I just got my Class M licence after taking my MSF class. Then about 2 weeks later I went out and bought myself a 2011 Monster 696.

Ans since you can imagine nothing bad happening in this situation. I crashed by bike a week after getting it. So as I heal from a fractured back, I am joining forums and doing my research about what to do about my bike. I will be posting some questions in the other section.

Can't wait to get my bike back.

Welcome!  Sorry to hear about the crash.  I'd suggest basic rider training, advanced rider training and a couple of good track day schools to get comfortable on the bike before going out on the roads.
