What a bullshit make the beast with two backsing call that was.  [bang]
It was...and it wasn't.

I don't think they gave him a ride through for gaining an advantage.

They did it because he didn't re-enter the track according to the rules.

You gotta explain that one then.

They have a prescribed method of re-entering the track if you blow that corner...there are a set of white lines you have to stay between to renter. According to the eurosport feed he didn't gain any time.

I don't think the little emperor figured he had to follow that rule...like he figured he didn't have to do a ride through earlier this year.

My take is race direction is making a point.

Not as much as Reay
That was nasty...

did he get hurt?

They were saying, again on the eurosport feed, that Checa got into the back of Rea which put him down, and you could see Smyrz get collected. Wasn't Haslam involved too?

I've seen lots of people run into others and it's always the one with the front wheel involved that goes down. I don't see how Checa could have caused it.

"Carlos Checa cut across the nose of Johnny Rea, causing the Castrol Honda rider to crash, taking Jakub Smrz and Leon Haslam with him."

I'll watch it again.

If you think about it...

it's a bunch of racers heading in to 1...like moto 2...they all want the best position possible.

Not all of them make it. :-\

On a completely different note, just started watching my tivo'd race one and they did a scan down the grid and stopped at Troy Corser who had on a sponsor hat that had "pussy" on it!!! Ah... WTF kind of sponsor is "pussy"??? What do they do and how much would they have to pay you to wear that hat?? Curious minds want to know! [bang] [laugh]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

I am not surprised at all.  It's an energy drink.  Racers have been trying to get it for ages.  Everyone has been trying to get Pussy.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Triple J

Biaggi got screwed, plain and simple. He went from a 5 second lead to 11th place...and was lucky to finish 8th and in the points. The re-entering theory is BS (even if it is why they did it)...he didn't seem to re-enter any different than other people who blew that corner. Even if he did, who cares...he was alone and knew it. Subtracting 2-3 seconds from his final time (so he would have had to win by that much) would have been reasonable.

That said...

...it made for a fantastic race 2!!  ;D ;D Laverty at the end!  [bow_down] [bow_down] The Haga, Fabrizio battle was great as well. I was cheering for Haga, but whatever. Great racing.

Race 1 was super as well.  [thumbsup] [thumbsup]
