On my 696, no. I love the throttle cam, makes the wrist position a little better for me.

It's a purely mechanical device. By changing the cam profile it changes the amount that the throttle cable is pulled per degree of rotation. No changes to settings, nothing permanent.

Mind you I just removed it from my bike after having it on for about 4 years. It's just too damn twitchy for city riding.

i used it to reduce the twist and pressure on my wrist. plus since i got rid of the 14t front sprocket i wanted to get higher in the revs faster without the wrist pressure.

i think the electron with the 14t is asking for twitchiness.

It is, and I like it  Easier to control though if there's minimum cable freeplay.

The electraeon is a super simple install.

G2 throttle tube + electraeon cam + Nichols aluminum flywheel + additional 3 teeth on rear sprocket for me.  Don't find it twitchy at all.  But then again the M695 is only rated at 73HP and is not exactly a wheelie machine.

the G2 changes the equation. by slowing down the initial ramp of the Electron you effective negated the initial quick turn... but still keep the shorter twist to full throttle.

Basically, yes.  The throttle is still more responsive, which some people might perceive or define as twitchy, but cracking it open and rolling it on is smoother.  It's very much a personal preference thing.  Both mods are easy to reverse if you don't like one or the other.

BTW, a few months ago I checked with Mr. G at G2 and he didn't offer a quick-turn cam for his throttle system and didn't plan to compete with electraeon in that respect.  No room in the housing for a bigger cam.  He thought the electraeon throttle cam looked like a good product and suggested I try it.

For anyone looking for quick action only:

The G2 will make a longer twist of the wrist (from closed to fully open).

That prolonged action is then again made shorter by the Electraeon,
but will still not be as short as with the Electraeon only.

I have the 14t front sprocket & electraeon on my bike & I love it. It can be a little grabby or twitchy at initial roll on, but you get used to it. I really really like it for my city riding because it feels so much more responsive which is what I need to negotiate the trucks and soccer moms everywhere.
