I have a '99 M900 City

I recently did a tail-chop and everything was put together nice and tight.

Then yesterday I was walking to my bike and I noticed I can see through the keyhole for the rear seat lock. I can see through the frame and the keyhole itself was dangling in the center.

When I checked out the keyhole it was all scratched. Its too short to hit the rear tire so I think someone was eff-ing with it.

Anyways,

1. I am looking for spare parts to put this back together.

2. MORE IMPORTANTLY: Are there any mods for this. Do people make better seat-lock switches, etc. Hidden switches or after-market locks?

Thanks

Howie

The factory lock is fairly useless (I'm not going into explanation on the interwebs).  I can't imagine why anyone familiar with Monsters would even want to mess with the lock since you cant store much under the seat.  My guess is you are the victim of a random fool and it is unlikely this will happen again.

LOL it's true.  The lock is pretty useless and it boggles my mind why someone wouldn't take the time to examine the setup a little better rather than waste time trying to defeat the lock itself...

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Hell, I've removed the lock itself anyways.
