Hello all!  New guy checking in from Apex, NC which is just outside of Raleigh.  I've been riding for a while, 11 years now I believe and have accumulated at least 100,000 miles by now.

'81 Honda CX500C
'02 Suzuki Bandit 600S
'03 Suzuki SV1000S
'07 Yamaha R1

So you see I've been in the Japanese crowd the entire time.  I loved the R1 but it had to go and now I am jonesying (sp?) for a naked twin.  I rode the piss out of my old SV and I have a serious hankering to get another but the Monster has always intrigued me.  So now I'm here lurking and probably will be asking a few q's every now and then to make my decision.

Peace!

There is a lot to like in that TL engine.  Cagiva used it on the Raptor and Navigator.  I rented the Navigator while in Italy a while back and it rode beautifully.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

848 Streetfighter?  I wasn't aware there was such a beast in the works.
