Android has their act together.  Apple benefitted from Jobs dying right before the release, even fat old Woz was in line to buy one (on Verizon mind you) to "Remember Steve Jobs"

of that 4 million sales, 3.9 million were already Iphone users. 

Android is slowly gaining and will overtake Iphone by next year.  Its simply more developer friendly and easier to make price points with. 

I have used Iphones but I have a G2x and love it.  I can't say that I have all the dumb ass iphone apps available, however, all the useful ones I need are on Android.

Yep. Switched from ATT to Verizon on day one of Verizon. Can't remember the last time I dropped a call. ATT was several times a day.

Android better get their act together fast cause if this is a "disappointing" release, I would hate to see when they come out with the LTE version.

Android 3.x smokes Iphone in terms of performance.  Plus, I can run 2-3-4-10 apps at the same time, like a real computer should.  Iphone was designed for simple users (Wozniak's own words)  who don't care about the technology and don't care about "technical things."

It's only a matter of time.  Sales of Android are already outpacing Iphone.

android has (smartly) had the benefit of being available for cdma smartphones. now that iphone is available on sprint and verizon, i'm curious to see how the sales play out. that said, iphone is still "only 3g" until next year.

Yes, that's correct from the Marketing department.  But Iphone has an OS and hardware.  Unlike Android, you have no hope of upgrading that OS unless you buy new hardware.  I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab (the original one) and upgraded it to Android 2.3 from 2.2 in an hour, and apparently there is a port of 3.0 for it now.  It cost me nothing to upgrade.

don't know about you, but i occasionally will run yelp to find a restaurant or browser to find info while i'm on the phone.  it's nice to be able to switch between them.  multitasking has been around for 30 years now.

good point, however, Google has smartly made it so Android phones back up info to Google's servers, as well as other integrated features.  It's going to be a few years because the Apple drones slavishly buy everything Apple poops out (the Lisa computer for instance -- POS).
