Yes, that's correct from the Marketing department.  But Iphone has an OS and hardware.  Unlike Android, you have no hope of upgrading that OS unless you buy new hardware.  I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab (the original one) and upgraded it to Android 2.3 from 2.2 in an hour, and apparently there is a port of 3.0 for it now.  It cost me nothing to upgrade.

and two days before the iphone4s was released, i upgraded my "ancient" iphone3gs to ios5. for free... believe it!  ;D

don't know about you, but i occasionally will run yelp to find a restaurant or browser to find info while i'm on the phone.  it's nice to be able to switch between them.  multitasking has been around for 30 years now.

i often do the same thing when i'm on a call. no issues on my iphone.

A coupla things - you can run iOS 5 on a 3G.  Apple OS is not tied to Apple hardware, but don't get me started about iPhone 4 and Siri.  Multitasking has been supported since iOS 4.0 (that's 3.99 iOSes too late in my opinion, but it multitasks)  Also, I put as much stock into what Woz has to say about the development of any Apple product as I do a bonobo of average intelligence.  He's one of the Mac fanboy spiritual leaders, but as far as anything current goes, just another dude with an opinion.  If I wanted to know the best way to put together a circuit on a breadboard, he'd be my guy.

iBreadboard.  There, I just patented that - you are all witnesses.

The battery claim on iPhone is horseshit, I've used it today and no more than 4 hours talk time.  I'm pissed now >:(

The phone itself is far superior to any of the competitions.

i'd put my G2x against it and win.  i used my SiL's iPhone 4 for a week and find the G2x to be more responsive, more feature-full, has a better camera (both of them), better HDMI output , a better microSD interface, better network support (wcdma, quad-gsm, wifi), and so on.  Also, it's thinner and has a much bigger screen.  I cannot say in any way was the Iphone superior except that it's an Apple product and my SiL shat herself complimenting it, while ignoring every line-item feature where the G2x was superior.

Also Kopf, you're comparing it to the Droid Incredible, not exactly a top of the line Android device.

iPhone4 vs HTC Evo

A bit outdated, but still just as relevant.

True, but the hardware is superior to any of the plastic phones.

Plastic yes, but what about stainless steel?  7 mm thick...

QuoteThe DROID RAZR seems to be the thinnest smartphone yet, at just 7.1mm. Other characteristics of the device are pretty much what we expected - a 4.3" HD screen of the Super AMOLED type, as well as a dual-core 1.2GHz processor. Obviously, Moto seems to have done some tremendous work with regards to battery life,  :oas it promises talk time of 12.5 hours, as well as 8.9 hours of video playback out of the DROID RAZR's 1800mAh battery.
