Shot in the dark, here, but I know a lot of you play...

I have a Japanese hollowbody I picked up on ebay years ago for $75.  It was incomplete and a little beat up, but it kinda spoke to me and it came with an interesting story - I took a chance on it.  And then I quickly lost interest and put it in the closet for several years.

I dug it out the other day and decided I would take a shot at getting it back in playing order.  Based on the internets, it is a Greco ES920, which were built in 68 and 69.  Here is a complete example*   Mine is missing pretty much the whole bridge assembly  - it only came with the tailpiece.  From what I can tell it doesn't share any parts with any of the other lawsuit-era makers, so I am expecting these will be difficult to track down.  I thought about replacing the whole shebang, but the neck is fairly narrow, and I am not sure how well retrofitting will work.  I took some measurements and I couldn't find a Bigsby-style setup that was close enough for me to take a chance on.

Does anyone have a good source for rare or oddball parts?  I have tried all the major outlets, and I have only found complete models - I guess I could buy a working one, but I kinda want to get this guitar put back together.

I've had good luck with some odball bits from an outfit in Lansing Michigan called Elderly Instruments - http://www.elderly.com/ - give them a call (and if you're ever in Lansing, be sure to stop by - room after room of drool-worthy vintage & new guitars, violins & other instruments)

Also, if you've got a local luthier/guitar doctor, he/she might be able to fabricate something custom for a surprisingly reasonable price.

Elderly is a great source !!

Stewart Macdonald is another good one. A lot of the repair places get their parts from them. http://www.stewmac.com/

And then there os Warmoth, depending on what you need.  http://www.warmoth.com/

Based on that eBay example, and your talk of a narrow neck, I'd say one of these with one of these mounted to it should hook you up quite nicely.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.
