The time is almost here where I have to move from sunny southern california back to new england (just in time for winter...ugh.)

Option one.  Ship the bike and fly on the governments dime

Option two.  Buy a vehicle and roadtrip it back.

Im leaning toward option two. since i could use a truck around the house anyway.

Now vehicle.  I want an early 90s toyota 4cyl 4x4 manual.  (good luck finding that in so cal that hasnt been butchered and baja'd)

my real question, is can i fit a monster in the back of a 4Runner if i pull the seats??

If you can put the straps on it why not. I think you should just jump on it and ride it home. ;D

hmmm... on a early 90's 4runner?  i sorta really doubt it.  you still might have width issues even if you figure out how to safely get it into the car on it's side.  because you def wont be able to get it in rubber side down.

3000 miles on a monster in november/december with 6 months worth of stuff (and all the crap ive accumulated along the way...including a full outfit of scuba gear)...no i dont think ill be riding it.

Im curious about unloading the rear preload and ratchet compressing the suspension front and rear, granted its not good for the suspension, but i wonder if that would give me the clearance to get it in standing.

Either way, looks like I need to find a pickup.
