"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

If it is anything like the Samsung lcd tv and 5.1 reciever system I bought then it'll crap out in 2 years.

I don't like the sound of that since I bought an LCD last winter... >:(

Lore

I had it in hands once and it impressed me  [thumbsup]

it's cool little thing.

now I'm waiting for somethin cheaper to get myself one

And why are you comparing it with TV  ??? it's a tablet. I have smartphone samsung nexus S and it's going well  ;)
Who made me to try it, who made me to love it so much!?

Drjones

Because they're made by the same company.  Might as well ask why I compared the Samsung 5.1 home audio system with the Samsung lcd tv.  Unrelated hardware, yet they both crapped out within 6 months of each other.  Maybe their phone design team and tablet design team produce better products or maybe it is just Samsung engineering in planned obsolecence after two years for all of their products.  YMMV.

if you want an opinon on a tablet ....heres mine.

i have an HP tablet that gives me the ability to carry around txt books without all the weight, but i almost aways have to carry a laptop because it in itself cant do much except simple task like open a PDF file to read. its great for very simple tasks such as printing a document, or just reading an article/ reading whatever BS. Its everything star trek shows tabs as. just a reading device thats portable. for this, i love it. i use it everyday and it goes with me pretty much everywhere because it helps me study on the go in case i leave something home.

theres a ton of problems with a tablet though....

1)its really hard to grip it without touching the screen. on my HP tablet, if you have 2 fingers on the screen, you can only put 1 more on and it prevents the screen from doing anything.

2) if you are eating anything that is SLIGHTLY messy, you cant use the tablet because it would be in the direct line of getting food on it. so dont think about having it there with your breakfast. not unless you had a cradle for it, or it has legs.

3) its not a replacement for a piece of paper either, not unless they manufacture it with gorilla glass and good software.

4) batteries are usually not replaceable without tearing it apart, so if you have a powerful system, expect it to be useless if you drain the batt often.

5) its much heavier than you think it is.

6) unless it has its own internet source (More $$$) its pretty useless as anything but a high tech kindle.

I've been using it at work, especially when I need to go to a meeting because it's lite. I can take notes pretty well with it since I'm a 2 finger typer. I have not used it much for games. I have Angry Birds mostly because it keeps the kids busy. The surfing is awesome since you can browse all website, including flash.

This is my first Android device coming from an iPhone so it took some getting used to the UI. If you have an Android and like it, then you'll love the tablet. The battery life is actually pretty good and the screen is very nice. It has so far met all my expectations.

The biggest con when compared to an iPad would be that it's not as slick. It feels a bit clunky at times, I assume this is probably similar to other Android devices. One other thing is that I find myself opening up a lot of apps. It does multitasking better than the iPad, so you end up using all the memory. I find myself using the Task Manager a lot to free up some memory.

Considering Android can do multitasking and the Ipad cannot, that's not surprising!

I ordered the Tab (7.7).  16 gig storage.  I was surprised to learn it doesn't have a memory card slot.. wtf?

Also, it has Froyo 2.2 which I learned is now old news, the ones in Best Buy have Honeycomb 3.1 on them.  I don't know if there will be an upgrade or not.

The primary use for this tablet will be the kids to learn and play on.  That's all.  And load up movies for them to watch on an airplane.
