My mom has had the first two. I'll ask her this weekend.

It does confirm they be little old lady cars though.  :P
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

thanks.

That's fine.  Not too concerned.  Just need something small to fit the s/o, baby and I.  A vehicle good on gas, has a sunroof, some cargo room for baby stuff and roof rack.

We've owned 2 Mitsubishis in the past (Monstero Sport and Eclipse) and they never had a problem.  Had a Toyo and 2 Lexus and they are just as good. Haven't owned a Nissan yet. Dreading dealing with them though when I go in for a test drive tomorrow.  We considered the VW Tiguan and even the Jetta Wagon..because of the price, gas milage and extended moonrooof.

We have a CR-V for baby duty and have been happy with it. Might be worth adding to the list.

Nissans are pretty tough...  You've seen my pickup.

It's got the 2.5L V-6 in it.   I don't do nearly the maintenance that I should, but she's still running strong at 198,xxx+ miles.

My dad has an Altima that won't die either.  No issues whatsoever...

Just mt $0.02

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

+1

We have a used 2008 CR-V AWD lease-return we picked up a year or so ago

that we use to haul the dogs and other various oversized stuff between houses

very pleased with it...but then I am always pleased with Hondas milquetoast line-up

My dads got a little crv that i've been driving around, seems like a decent mini suv, but disappointed with the MPG, 25... maybe i expect more from a little car.

The RAV4 (at least the newer models) are extremely uncomfortable for the passengers.
The throttle, brakes, and everything else seem extremely sensitive and I feel carsick no matter who's driving

My wife had the Matrix from new before the CR-V

I would rather carve an eye out with a rusty spoon than own another Toyota car...

maybe their trucks are "better" but boy oh boy was that Matrix one sorry shit wagon

Have a bit over 11K on a '11 VW Tiguan and love it.....

I considered the Honda, Nissan, and Toyota at the time also but there was no contest. The VW is way more fun to drive.

is the toyota highlander considered a small SUV? i drove a loaner a while back, and it seemed pretty good.

can I throw out a suggestion?

the new KIA sportage is getting awesome reviews and a few car mags have rated them tops for whatever the mini-suv category is.

Many car review folks are saying KIA has caught up to Honda and Toyota for quality, surpassed them for styling (subjective) for less money.

IZ should get a vehicle from whoever will throw in a free lifetime tire protection plan.
