NYC: Be late on your tickets!

I am 1 day late on my parking ticket that i got 31 days ago (just been too busy to deal with it) i found a nice suprised between the online hearing from 3 weeks ago and now.

Apparently if you are late on your ticket, they offer you a $25 reduction if you PAY NOW VIA CREDIT CARD!

But if you plead not guilty you get slapped with a late charge if you are found guilty.

Its almost as bad as that picture of the guy who had a outstanding ticket of $0.00 and was charged $25.00 for not paying on time....

this isn't a parking ticket.  this is some private company trying to cash in.  courts have the authority to add fines and fees, but you can't just tack on $25 because you feel like it... i'm going to put a "NO PARKING" sign in front of my house and start sending these out.

With My plan you don't need to worry about the $35 fee for non sufficient funds.

last time i got a parking ticket in nyc, i did some online research to save me some cash. the instructions as i remember....

click not guilty (or that you want to contest it)
the next page says "are you sure? because we will give you $20 (or so) off if you plead guilty and pay now instead"
click pay now
save money.
