AMS Ducati track day anyone?

AMS is having their annual Sunday track day November 6th.  Price is $200 for the all-day event.  Three levels for all skill levels; novice, intermediate, and expert.  The day starts around 9 and wraps up around 5 with a one hour lunch break in the middle.

This is usually my only track day of the year and in year's past it has always been great.  It is a very well run event with good instruction and even better camaraderie.  

I plan on going, anyone else?

im really debating on going. I would really like to try a track day but then again that money could go toward the cyclecat rearsets ive been saving for

There is also a private day this Thursday, more $$ though, and Eurosport is having one on Monday 11/14.  I'm working on the 11/6 weekend, but thinking about the 11/14 day.

what all do i have to do to my bike for a track day?

For AMS and most of the other novice events basically:
- no leaks
- decent tires
- working brakes
- chain/sprockets ok
- taped or removed lights
- removed mirrors

You bike is in great shape, probably just taping/removing lights and mirrors and you should be good to go 

The eurosport track day on 11/14 is $150 for those that can make it.

well i think im going to go then. i ordered frame sliders and barends last night. Then this weekend i guess ill have to find a shop to stich a different zipper to my jacket so they can be zipped to my pants

Cool.  I'm going to ride to the track and tape up my bike once I get there.  Should be a fun day for sure

When I was over at AMS on Friday, Amy mentioned that this trackday was not very full so if you've wanted to do a track day but were hesitant because of too many riders on track, this should be the track day for you. 

(Yes, that IS the positive spin...    And now, for something completely different...)

Loaded the bike on the trailer (and really hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow)     

And this time I'm taking a camera... you never know what kind of cool bikes turn up for track days.  A Desmo here, a Desmo there    Yeah, baby, gonna be an awesome day, WOO-HOO!
