A man in my home town hit a million miles on his Honda Accord.

Honda gave him a new Accord, but I was behind him driving home yesterday and he was still driving the old one.  :D

I keep telling everyone I know with a honda... change them timing belts and they'll last forever... now there is proof.

Next to selling my Monster, the Accord was the most painful. Had that thing from 0 to 140,000 of trouble free miles. Regular service every 3,000 miles is all that is needed.

I put 280k on a '80 Civic wagon, sold it a 330k.
Still ran great.

I just couldn't stand driving it any more, ~5000 hours in the seat was enough.

He says what he does in the video.

I guess I didn't wonder too much then, didn't watch the video until now :D

Apparently he is a floating Honda mechanic, he goes from dealer to dealer supplementing the service department.

Now if everybody maintained their car like he did it would last forever as well.
I live vicariously thru myself......

I love stories like this! [thumbsup] I also love looking through ebay motors at the Ducati section and seeing the really high mileage 851, 888 and Tamburini bikes. [Dolph] Makes me wish I had become a chiropractor. [laugh]

Worked with a guy at the courthouse who lived in the country on a farm. He had about a 180+ mile round trip commute every day. Worked with him for years. He had a pick up and his wife had a sedan but his commute car were Nissan Sentras. I can't remember how many he went through. He'd trade them in on a new one at about the 300-350K mark. Again, regular maintenance did the trick plus it was all highway miles. Probably applied the brakes about 10-15 times per day. ;D
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.
