can you keep this domain and use it as a redirect url?  It's also my understanding that the Flounders got a bunch of domain names, might not be a bad idea to use those as redirects as well...

just my thoughts and I am an idiot, so take that into consideration  ;D

NAKID

That makes sense, but it may be more expensive than the flounders were expecting...

There would be very minimal traffic on those sites, they are already paying/paid for them.  I'm not sure how the whole thing works though, I just *live* in Silicone valley, I don't actually work in that industry!  Regurgitated knowledge spewing here, be warned! [puke]

Re-directs will work fine and the only cost is for the domain name.

FYI silicon valley is the high tech arena in the bay area.  Silicone valley is an area of LA where all the boobies come from.

Yeah, we could, and if moving looks like being more trouble than it's worth then we'll probably do that.

It seems though, that since everybody is talking about this place as "The DMF" already, it's probably better to be "The DMF" at ducatimonsterforums.org than "The DMF" at ducatimonsterworldwide.org

Heads up guys...

We (the web geek team and the flounders) are discussing the possibility of switching domains from

www.ducatimonsterworldwide.org to www.ducatimonsterforums.org

YAY.  DMWW.org is okay but too long and awkward and lacks a sort of appealing resonance.  www.DMww.org is also kinda redundant.   ;)
DMF.org seems to be the saying just what it stands for, an accurate description and much more intuitive.

it seems to me everyone's already decided to call this place the "DMF", and since one of us (Statler) owns ducatimonsterforums.org it seems much more appropriate, so if we can work out a way to switch everything we've got so far to the new domain we'll probably do it.

I'm pretty sure this wont affect any of your great efforts at logo design, but you might want to discuss amongst yourselves if this change warrants pushing the deadline out, or whether you'd like to stick with the original deadline and judge entries as they are wit the understanding that we might ask the winner to change the url afterwards.

I'll edit the thread title and first post to point people towards this message.

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Mother

There are some really great logo's here

but I'll tell you

my first impression of this plate was Mitt's half of a clutch plate

and I really think that it should be the basis of the new logo

for me it has stuck

i agree with mother (thats why i included it in some submissions)

seroiusly, i also think that any board logo should integrate the clutch plate somehow  [thumbsup]

I do design work but I am swamped with a bunch of things doing on...

I want to make something, maybe if I get a break I will try to whip up a few concepts...

What will the final pixel dimensions be? Will the board colors still be the same as current???

If you can PM me some specifics to start I can come up with something...

If I had to vote right now both of these are pretty darn good... I'd put either one as a decal on my bike or forehead for that matter...
