I took her out for a little ride ... met up with five or six other Ozmos ... and they followed me home. Good day.

I got a little too enthusiastic with a die grinder and broke mine.  Now I feel like an idiot :(

pics suz?

I fitted up the led headlight today, but I refuse to post pics at this stage. Purposeful does not always equal pretty and that all I'll say...

Anyone handy with carbon fibre sheeting???

It's not irretrievable - I think I just need to pop the valve seat and replace it, then have it ground to shape.

Least you're getting in and having a go!

DP seat fitted and ridden...

Is mostly comfy, gets a little warm on longer rides, will be interesting come summer time!
Do not like the gap at the rear between it and the frame, will investigate chopping the rubber stand-offs and lowering the latch back down to original seat height.

Trucklite LED headlight fitted (finally)..

Do not fooking like the final result at all..
Bucket is from a vt250 or something similar to that, Was an absolute &*^# to get the light to mount in.
Will be buying this bucket, making a mold/patten and vacuum infusing a carbon fibre bucket I think.. Only way to be sure of a great final result! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/360366021546?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_700wt_1163

Does feel like a LOT of stuffing around for a bike that i'll sell in 12 months time... I guess it's something that I can re-use on the next bike.

Gave the Duc a good bath today and used the LTs method for chain cleaning.

That is, spray it with WD40 then hose off. Spray it again and give it a brush. Hose off and wipe down with a rag. Now wait a while and then lube with your favourite.

Been doing this since fitting my chain which now has over 20K and still seems good as. Old chain didn't last 15K.

Happy lubing  ;D

Hi Suzy,
Looking at the photo is the valve stem guide worn on one side?

Raux

According to a very good duc specialist i know
this is caused by the too soft valve guides which wear and creat too much valve slop

get new specialized valve guides nnd problem solved.  get stock problem likely will return.  don't change guide is a useless service

Umm actually it was caused by me, with a die grinder.  Hence feeling really stupid.

Rode her about 150 miles today, up to the top of a mountain, ended up being cold and the snow melt was draining onto the road, so afterwards she got a bath.

After that, installed my new speedymoto pressure plate.  And as usual between me and this bike, a 15 minute job turns into several hours when I find I have to drill the head off EVERY. SINGLE. BOLT.  Stripped every one after soaking them in bolt loosener, ridiculous.  The underpowered drill with a 30 second battery charge at a time added to the enjoyment.

GK

Installed some new stainless clutch springs.

Had a pink slip done for the first time, it's just fallen out of the 5 year "no inspection" necessary.
I don't think the guy even half looked at the bike and here was me all worried about it.  [thumbsup]
