What is the obsession with the ridiculously long swingarm? And 9/10ths of the custom 'Busas seem to nix a front disc. As though they're offended by the very idea of turning, or stopping.

I don't even know what to make of the "Sturgis 'Busa."

Does the hump separating the two people have any function? Can you store stuff in that, maybe?

Extended swingarms come from the Drag Racing world.

I understand its purpose in the context of drag racing.

But putting a huge swingarm on a road bike seems a bit like putting a gigantic spoiler on your commuter car.
