WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS FABRICATION?

I just had this exhaust and license plate bracket fabricated......

Now just ceramic coat that black or polish it and finish it with a nice rainbow tip and it'll be the tits.

How does it sound btw?

Risky Business

I was leaning towards wrapping it from weld to weld and then leave the rest of it raw stainless but I have not ruled out ceramic coating or Jet Hot....  The sound scares neighborhood children and old ladys....

Can we see a pic of the front header under the bike?

Risky Business

The front header pipe (and rear header pipe) are oem....

Dirty Duc

What I meant was not the little stubby bit, but the connection between said stubby bit to the "upswoopy" bit.  ;D

Risky Business

I will snap a picture when I get a free minute.  He used a pinch bolt to connect the mid-pipe to the oem header pipe.  I'm not crazy about it but unless you kneel down and look for it, it isnt very noticeable.

I love the simplicity,  its what Monsters are all about, maybe ceramic coated black but I like the rawness, well done.  [thumbsup]

Could I ask, How much?

                   And

Did you build it yourself or did a machine shop do the bends for you?

This won't hurt much.... Trust me......

Seems very "Harley-esque". That being said I had considered something like that when I bought my first Monster in 2005. I went with a custom made boom-tube style exhaust on that bike and liked it much better.

I'm sure it's loud as F*CK!

I always liked the look of the stock bends On the S2R but have never been a fan of exhaust "cans".  That's basically how I arrived at the design.  I had an exhaust shop perform the fabrication.

The license plate bracket was the real PITA....

Pipes look ok to me. [thumbsup]

I think if you were to remove the beer tray & relocate the license plate underneath the seat, just behind the shock
it would look way better.
That placement of the license reminds me of Harley's and cruiser's.
My people skills are just fine.
It's my tolerance to idiots that needs work.

That's where I have mine. Much nicer looking location.

Plus, depending on where you live, that plate might cause you some trouble with the local LEO...

I hope this works out for you. Looks like it's really loud. Have you riden it for a distance yet?

I recently did an exhaust on mine, too. I used the vert. pipe from my Leo Vince 2into1 with a 2 1/8" in x 2 1/2" out stainless steel reverse cone muffler. It looks incredible and sounds fantastic.......under 4 grand. Above that it's just plain intolerable. Over-the-top loud. I installed a 2 1/2" DB killer which made it bearable but then I didn't like the way it sounded. I had to take it off. It's a shame.
