We finally had a nice day here today and I was reminded that I have to do something about the pad on the end of my kickstand. I ground half of it off when I low-sided last fall (S2r1000's slide along real nice on the front axle, left bar end weight and the kickstand pad  :'( ). The pad is now ground into a spearhead shape and will sink into hot asphalt for sure. Any ideas besides welding on a larger pad or carrying one of those plastic kickstand pads/ flattened soda can? Last time I removed a kickstand it was a real PITA.

Thanks, Zooom, but there's not enough pad area left to drill thru.
Looks like I'll have to have it welded.

if you remove the sidestand switch you can use one from a hypermotard or Multi 1100.

I didn't care enough to put energy into figuring out what part of the switch you would need to re-work to keep it, but the problem with it is that its reversed (so the bike shuts off with the sidestand up and in gear)
