Extended Rear Mudguard

Hi, This is my first, well second if u count the introduction post, post ever and i just have a question about the rear mudguard.

I have a 2010 Ducati Monster 696. I added a fender eliminator kit recently, however due to australian law I must have a fender which covers to a point not less then 45degrees from a horizontal line drawn through the center of the tire, parallel to the ground.

I have been thinking about making a custon fibre glass mudguard and was wondering if anyone knew of any any extra long mudguards you could buy that fit 696 monsters or if anyone had any experience making a custon mudguard before.

Any help or advice would be great.

Edit: Just re-read this and realised how it could be a bit confusing. Basically I need to make or purchase a mudguard slightly longer then the one in this picture

Pressing my 05 620 into rain commuting duty, with a chopped tail courtesy PO, (not that it doesn't look great),
necessitated  some type of mud guard at the very least. I live on a dirt road, which is a joy in the rain and in mud season.
I'm the second worst fabricator in the world but I came up with a thin piece of metal stock from local
hardware store, plus the license plate from PO, arranged and screwed to my tidied up plate location (I'll add picks later).
This is function over form, though my ass would still get wet, I don't get so covered with mud. Most importantly the top case that I have doesn't get covered in grit which I believe would lead to problems with the lock / latch.

Here ya go, remember, function over form. As it happens I rode 25mi in rain in the am, home 25 mi no rain but roads wet (1mi dirt road still slick).
I have the option to remove the guard and spin it around and attach it under the seat, I used plastic screws / nuts to attach.

Ah, ye that actually looks pretty sweet.

The sad thing is i dont really need something that works so much as something that will stop me getting a yellow sticker. Because where i live in Australia it rarely rains so im more looking at making something focusing on form But that is definatly a great idea for the meantime while i spend the next several months stuffing around trying to decide what i want to do
