I'm not a big fan of coming of the layshaft like that... similar to what sprintex did, but a small clutch arrangement was used on the layshaft incase of SC lockup..

on the squallo, SC was driven by the clutch

Wasn't there talk of converting one "piston" into an air pump during the supermono design (as opposed to the simple balancing weight they came up with instead)?

Yup. The V-One: http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2009/01/12/ducati-v-one-twin-to-supercharged-single-conversion/

Looks like it runs off the layshaft rollers?  I would like to know what they did to the layshaft, its kind of weak from the factory.

Looks like it's extended and run through that brace. Assuming the material were up for the torsion, I'd think their design would be stronger than from the factory just because the shaft is supported outboard of the bearings/seal, which is usually the weak link.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

Ah... that makes sense.

Seems like the sort of beast that would add weight and shatter cranks and cases if given half the chance  :o

There was a thread in I think the tech section a few years ago where someone had done just that.  Don't recall what Duc motor he used but there were some outlandish performance claims, which I didn't believe.  Never heard anything more about it.

Looks perfect for NASCAR (less the Glen and Infineon)
Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)
