Hey,
Name is Eric.
From the Northern half of the state.
Been riding since 03.
The first few years I rode an 83 Honda Shadow 500. Recent few years Ive been on a 78 cb750f.
I enjoy most things that can be ridden. Outdoor adventures. Beer. Whisk(e)y.

Here because a coworker told me about someone who he knows who knows someone with a bike for a good price. So I got the number and this is what I know about the bike. 2004 m620 Red. Not even close to 1000 miles. She said it's been parked for a few years. Fell over in the garage dented the tank and broke a mirror, just been sitting. $2400. I'm going to meet the bike on Monday. I can assume at least a battery and rubbers. Is there anything Ducati specific I should be aware of on a bike that has been ridden so little? And does this price reflect the damage and lack of attention?

Timing belts should be changed.

As far as value, it is somewhat subjective, but KBB list the retail at $3495 for excellent condition...slightly less for a dark.

The repairs/service on that bike will swallow up close to a thousand with belts, tires, battery, dent repair, mirror.

Timing belts. That makes sense, being a rubber compound. That's why I joined up.
We'll see what this damage looks like soon enough. I hope I can get her to go down.

I would def. go there with cash, explain the need for new tires, battery, and belts. You should be able to beat him up a little more on the price. Doesn't hurt to negotiate hard!

Well I passed on my first Ducati. I felt like the bike was just too small for me to be comfortable riding day in and day out. With plans to fix everything I made an offer but was turned down. Having learned alot about this brand I can say that I'll keep my eyes out for one in the future.

If anyone here is interested, I know of a great person selling a great bike that will be perfect for someone. It only has 100 miles on it.
