Is it just my perception, or are we losing more celebrities this year than in years past?

It seems like every 1-2 days lately.

Just heard about Sherman Hemsley a few minutes ago.

I'd rather not die doing something stupid, but I'd give it all up if it means I dont spend 10 years rotting away from cancer or the like.

As for the original post...I thought it was 20..10? that had the most...what ever the Michael Jackson year was...I feel like there were a sh*t ton that year...

In my opinion, it's because we've had a celebrity population explosion: more celebrities = more of them meeting their timely ends in any given time period.

Just wait a few years until the current bumper crop starts to hit their actuarial limits. Lucky for me, I will be way past mine by then, so probably won't have to endure fawning recollections of the entire cast of Twilight or the stars of Bachelor Season 6.

maybe after speeding towards the event horizon of death, you reach it and time stops for you, allowing you to not quite reach blissful oblivion and exist instead in your own personal mental purgatory for the rest of existence. Wouldn't that be lovely.

Actually, you've really only been dying since you were about 25yo, before which your body was producing cells at a rate faster than they expired, which means, for a while there, you really had a good thing going!
