Hey there. So I ran across this on ebay the other day, and it just seems like too good a deal to pass up. Seeing as
I don't have a ton of cash for a termi, arrow, akro etc.... Does anybody have any experience or think
if it would be a bad idea to run them on my 07 695.

Except that everyone will hear you from miles away and neighbors will hate you. And with tips that short, the bike may run poorly.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

LOUD
My people skills are just fine.

It says 105 DB's. Which is kind of ridiculous... But I figured I could stick some silencer packing in there
with the baffle. I'm just thinking it might make my bike run poorly, as stated above...

Funny, I was just looking at those and I, too, have an 07 695. I'm not quite sure the loudness bothers me, I don't have neighbors, but I'm mostly concerned about damaging something running those pipes. I have no experience with the science of exhaust and so I don't really fully understand the ramifications of running a pipe so short. Perhaps someone can enlighten me?

going to run lean, and greatly reduce your back pressure... which will likely have a negative effect on your bottom end torque.
When all the land lays in ruin... And burnination has forsaken the countryside... Only one guy will remain... My money's on...

As noted you need a certain minimum of back pressure for an engine to run well. Too little and you'll loose power and, in the case of my KTM before it was remapped, stall frequently.

105 decibels is really freaking loud - obnoxious straight pipe HD loud.

That price has to be some kind of Illuminati message

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
