It's my tolerance to idiots that needs work.

I've never heard this from anyone who's ridden a Ducati SF.  I've heard nothing but great things and this is from owners of various bikes including Monsters, 1098s, Triumphs etc. I think if you build your own SF it could turn out great. The key word is "could". I think if you buy a new SF you are getting a great bike out the door. Sure you're not getting the joy associated with making your own and I definitely appreciate that but IMO if you dont have the time or skills required... a new Ducati SF would be nothing to turn your nose up at. A great bike is a great bike whether it's off the shelf or homemade.

I love dreaming....wish I were in your situation!! [drool]

Me....I would get a 848 SF for a daily driver (for Honolulu)...maybe a 1098 SF if your roads would warrant the bigger engine.
Sell the Monster & get a project bike to trick out...SS or SBK

My 2 cents

i was referring to the concept of a streetfighter not referring to THE streetfighter specifically

same deal with a cafe racer, its that you can buy it off the shelf like that, which you can, but the fact that you put the time/money into making it unique
