The new hotness didn't meet japanese noise restrictions. Solution, JB Weld an additional can to the existing exhaust and hang it off the side, stick a bigger plastic clutch over-cover and restrict it to 135hp.

Photo from Asphalandrubber seems a bit photo-shoppy, but they don't usually get it wrong.

-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Yeah... I dont know why they had to change the clutch cover... but I'm guessing that you'll be able to pretty easily revert it back to the correct looks barring that.  If not I cant see pani's really selling in the jpn market at all.

The affluent Japanese clamor for anything exotic.

I don't see why the Panigale would be any different.

They will just clamor for the Termi kit as well.

Looks like that clutch cover (and then some) just bolts over and would be easy to remove

Woof!  That's awful.  [thumbsdown]

Any why restrict it to 135hp?  Might as well buy an 848.

Easy solution.  Don't officially sell them there.  The black market will take off like crazy.   [evil] [evil]
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Raux

actually I'm sure the Termi kits and dry clutch conversion kits will sell like hot cakes

I think that's apples and oranges.  Zero Eng does make [EDIT: does NOT make] production motorcycles (unless I missed a press release or two along the way).  Selling a custom bike based on a 50 year old HD flathead is bound to be in a different category.
