So i went from rebuilding heads, to swapping just the motor to a complete makeover.

I was thinking of stripping the paint on the frame and then clear coating it for the raw steel look. but i wanted that for the tank too ( ive got a steel tank) and im not sure how that combo would work out.

Then theres just playing it safe with gloss black.

What say you?

Yea thats sand all up in that cooch

A Yellow frame with clear coated tank could make for an interesting look.

Paul Smart ocean-green(?) frame maybe... , but then you need to do something smart about the wheels too

Or gloss dark grey powder coat

I'm just the other way around, and would prefer the raw look on the frame.  I always loved the raw aluminum truss work when I used to be on the rigging crew back in my sound production days.  Also always prefered the look of raw aluminum frame for either a mountain or road bike.  I'd do the raw trellis if it was my bike, and maybe do the tank in a Matrix like green, or a really dark blue.

gloss black and raw steel, or some sort of smoke over the steel tank to darken it up a little but keep the metal look if that's possible (ducpainter?) ...i'd like to see the tank protected obviously, but without a glossy finish.  glossy black lettering on the tank and maybe a big old fat black stripe down the middle ala the new monsters or even the standard s2r stripes down the side.

you'll need to come up with a metal rear cowl as well to keep the look going.

wrap/anodize the fork black.  no fender.  boom tubes if you can find em.

this thing is going to look sinister.  when you're done with it i'll buy it from you i think, because i've got to have the bike i just built in my head...

You do realize that someone is just going to knock it over and then pour liquid chicken fat on it when he's done, right?

I say that you should do the frame in grilled cheese yellow so that when the dirt and grease pile on, the theme will have a better flavor!
